BPC-157 vs TB-500: research summary and key differences

A research-orientation comparison of BPC-157 and TB-500 — what is actually in the peer-reviewed literature, how the two sequences differ structurally, and what the research community currently studies.

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid partial sequence derived from a protein found in gastric juice. TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4, a 43-residue actin-binding protein. Structurally the two share no meaningful homology.

In the published in-vitro literature the two sequences are studied against different endpoints. BPC-157 appears most frequently in cell-migration and fibroblast models; TB-500 appears in actin-sequestration and angiogenesis assays.
